Crypto in Vietnam after Resolution 05: what to hold, where to trade

The new legal framework changes how a family should hold and trade digital assets, and why the core must be separated from the trading book.

The Digital Technology Industry Law recognises ownership of digital assets; Resolution 05/2025 opens a pilot market with licensed exchanges. The biggest prior risk, the legality of holding, has fallen sharply.

We split the desk into three books: a Core HODL in multisig cold storage, a halving-cycle book with laddered selling rules, and a small trading book with a hard monthly loss cap. The core is never used to 'recover' the trading book.

Tax guidance is still pending, so every trade is logged from today to be ready for filing.
